Celebrating Innovation — Our 2025 STEM Fair

The Annual Middle School STEM Fair 2025 was a day to remember, filled with creativity, collaboration, and an inspiring display of young innovation. Hosted by the Science, Design, Makerspace, and Mathematics departments, the fair brought together 109 enthusiastic student participants who presented 45 remarkable projects that captured the spirit of scientific and technical discovery.

This year’s theme, Scientific & Technical Innovation, encouraged learners to explore solutions to real-world challenges through four sub-themes: AI and Innovation in Technology, Sustainable Energy, Urban Development, and Waste Management. Through these lenses, students showcased projects that demonstrated deep curiosity, design thinking, and a bold vision for the future.

Highlights of the event included prototypes and models such as a “city that weathers natural disasters,” an “AI smart trash-bin,” “smart irrigation systems,” and even a “water-powered cyber-truck.” Other notable entries—like the “nutrition board game,” “IntelliVision phone projector,” “robotic service dog,” “urban sweep buddy,” and “smart socks to monitor blood glucose and blood pressure”—reflected a strong fusion of creativity and purpose, emphasizing the real-world application of STEM learning.

The event was further elevated by the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Vandita Srivastava, an accomplished R&D leader and organic chemist whose extensive experience in natural products, nutraceuticals, and drug discovery left a lasting impression on both students and staff. Her keynote address inspired aspiring innovators to persist in exploring, questioning, and reimagining solutions to global issues through science and technology.

The success of this year’s STEM Fair stands as a testament to the imagination, effort, and teamwork of our MYP 1–3 scientists. Their projects not only celebrated inventive thinking but also illuminated how young minds can impact the world around them. We take immense pride in their achievements and look forward to seeing these ideas evolve into even greater innovations in the years ahead.
