P5 Exhibition – Human action can lead to an imbalance. – Dohee Kim

Human action can lead to an imbalance in our environment.

My name is Dohee, I am 11 years old and my Issue is Poaching

Why did I select my inquiry?

I chose my inquiry because I am interested in saving and protecting animals. I’m inquiring into animal poaching.

My central idea was:  Human action can lead to an imbalance

My lines of Inquiry were:

  1. What is poaching
  2.  Impact of hunting and poaching on the environment
  3.  Action for change

My transdisciplinary theme was: Sharing the planet

My concepts were: Causation , Change , Responsibility

My focus Learner Profile attributes were: Caring and  knowledgeable

My UN Goals was: Goal number 15  Life on land

My inquiry connects to UN SDG 15 because 15.7 ELIMINATE POACHING AND TRAFFICKING OF PROTECTED SPECIES.

My approaches to learning were: Research skills

My links to the school Mission and vision were:

Encourage responsibility: we have to take a action be responsible and make eco friendly

During my research I found out Elephants tusk can make something very interesting that we also have not known such as piano keys & jewellery.

Many wildlife animals help maintain the food chain and food web balance in the wild, meaning that if they are removed, the ecosystem is disturbed and this might lead to the death of even more animals and plant species because of the explosive growth of other species.

It directly affects the natural environment in that it throws off nature and increases the wildlife.

Here are some of the resources I created to help spread awareness about my inquiry

Inquiry that leads to action!

My personal action will be to write to authorities to make a stricter law about poaching

I ask you to take action by not buying things that made out with animal
