However, the debate experience was not the unrivalled part of CHEMUN, considering that we were travelling as a group. Throughout the 4 nights and 3 days we stayed there, relationships were instituted, one’s that can never be forgotten. Memories were entrenched between everyone. We developed a strong bond and grew as individuals and as a group. And most significantly, everyone that participated in CHEMUN had that one connection that associated them with the CHEMUN X group.

This year, our school sent a delegation to the Chennai Model UN, and I had applied earlier in August and received the position of chair in the Environmental Committee. Chairing such a huge committee was a great and rewarding experience. The second I entered the council, it dawned on me how big the council was. When everything started, it became much easier and all my nervousness just washed away, the delegates in my council were amazing, and nearly all of them had something different about them, something worth remembering. Overall, I found this CHEMUN to be one of the most rewarding experiences in my life, and I’m so glad I got this opportunity.
