Guys and Dolls Jr – Update 3

Mixed between the two worlds of New York in the 1930s, the Guys and Dolls Jr. Musical is thriving with gamblers, gangsters and crap-shooting. The story talks about a divide between the sinners, who are waiting in anticipation for Nathan Detroit to set the crap game and the missionaries of the Save-a-Soul Mission, who, led by Sarah Brown, are insistent on ending the sin of gambling.

Over the span of one week, the Guys & Dolls Jr. team has made significant progress with rehearsals and preparation for the show. More and more cast members are showing up for weekly rehearsals and everyone is determined and encouraged to learn their lines, songs and choreography. This week, the cast continued working on the choreography for The Oldest Established. Nearly finishing the whole choreography, some characters also practiced Scenes 5 & 6.

This week, we will be revealing to you one of the cast members! Introducing General Cartwright, played by Hedaya Ismail of MYP 2, is the formidable leader of the Save-a-Soul Mission. Overlooking the organisation with a firm grip, General Cartwright appears in a few scenes along with Sarah Brown and Arvide Abernathy.

Stay tuned for more information, and another character reveal next week!
