The 2024-25 academic year at Mahindra International School began with a burst of energy and excitement on August 12th, 2024. This new chapter in our school’s journey was marked by several key events that have set a positive tone for the year ahead.

We started with a comprehensive New Staff Induction, welcoming talented educators into our community. This induction program was designed to equip our new team members with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive in our dynamic educational environment, ensuring they are well-prepared to inspire and support our students. From drum circles to a Baner Hill hike, our orientation week was all about connection, collaboration, and building a strong foundation for the year ahead.

The first week culminated with our ‘New Families Orientation’, providing our newest 35 families with an in-depth understanding of the school’s ethos, curriculum, and support systems. This orientation helped lay a solid foundation for strong home-school partnerships, which are essential for student success.

The first day of school was filled with excitement as students, both new and returning, explored our newly renovated classrooms in the Primary and Secondary sections. These modernized learning spaces have been thoughtfully designed to create an engaging and conducive environment that enhances the educational experience.
This year, we were thrilled to see a tremendous number of parent attendees at our Leadership Coffee Meet and the 1st PTA Annual General Meeting. These events provided a platform for parents to engage with the school’s leadership team, share ideas, and collaborate on initiatives that will shape the school year.
In the Primary section, Back to School sessions offered parents valuable insights into our teaching methodologies and classroom environments. These sessions played a crucial role in aligning parents’ expectations with our educational goals and building a sense of community.

A significant highlight in the Secondary section was the introduction of ‘Yondr’, making us the first international school in India to implement a phone-free environment. By using these innovative pouches to create a stress-free space without devices, we are fostering greater focus and deeper engagement in the classroom. This initiative is already proving to be a game-changer in enhancing the learning environment and encouraging students to fully engage in their educational experience. Additionally, our secondary learners have embraced early morning ISACI sport sessions, preparing enthusiastically for upcoming inter-school competitions.

The month concluded with the ‘Meet the Teachers’ event on August 30th, where parents had the opportunity to connect faces to names, fostering future dialogue and strengthening our community bonds. This event also provided insights into our curricular structure and a firsthand look at the classrooms where their children learn.

As we continue this academic journey, we are excited about the collaborative and vibrant community we are building together. Welcome back to the home of the eagles!
