Developing opportunities for MBIS students through our Co-Curricular programme.

Our Co-Curricular programme continues to gather strength this year and as always, we are seeking approaches to increasing the diversity of activities offered as well as deepening the skills learned through each activity.

Co-Curricular activities are a vital part of education. Apart from being fun they are useful in physical and moral development. Furthermore they are essential for emotional and social development.

As the name suggests, CCA’s are a supplement to class work and therefore have academic value. Depending on the type of activity they can have cultural, aesthetic and recreational importance.

However, the most important aspects of those activities are most likely the disciplinary value and the training towards leadership.

The process of signing up for the Co-Curricular-Activities has now been finalised. If students do not hear anything from me individually, they will participate in the activity they signed up for. Where numbers of participants are too low, the activity will unfortunately not run this year. Students who did receive an email have had to change their activity. The transport manager has been notified and transport will be taken care of for those who asked for it.

Activities that we are unable to run this year are:

– Aeromodelling

– Formula 1 India

– Cricket

– Marathi Culture and Language

– Music Ensemble

The ‘Dance’ activity is a popular choice with our students and shall now be student-led.

If you would like any further information on our CCA opportunities, please feel free to contact me on marc.muehlich@mbis.org

We expect activities and CCA transport to start from the week beginning 20th August but an email to confirm shall be sent to all parents.
