Service Visit to SHASHWAT

Our StuCo campaign began with raising of almost 30K rupees in October with our basketball fundraiser. Since then, we started a journey in conjunction with Shashwat, a local NGO, to use our funds to donate sports equipment to less-resourced schools around Pune. Having bought the equipment in March, our efforts finally began to bear results as we visited NGO headquarters at Dhimbe village in Manchar, on 26th April to distribute the equipment to some of the schools involved in the program.

Additionally, sports equipment such as volleyball nets and balls, cricket sets, and lezims (totalling 30) will be provided to secondary students in Junnar district It was great to meet both the NGO administrators as well as the students who would be using the sports equipment, and our visit helped strengthen our relationship with Shashwat, which has given us more opportunities to start impactful fundraising programs in the future.

It’s truly inspiring to observe how simple acts of engagement and service can foster meaningful connections within communities and create lasting impacts.

It has been a pleasure to work with Shashwat throughout this journey, and we hope to visit again!
